One weekend, two perspectives @Sunryse
This is a blog about the amazing Sunryse weekend of a group ambitious & idealistic people. This blog is written by me and my friend Kyrill Goosseff, one weekend, two stories:)
I met Bas when I was writing this story on the train, thanks for your help and support, See you in Rdam, mate:) Kyrill’s story is about accepting yourself and people around. He wrote this story at the weekend and read it out loud for the whole group. I loved it and asked him or I can put it on my blog and here it is.. Enjoy
Recognition, power and love. I can finally admit to myself that I was broke (in every way) half a year ago. I was tired and totally burned out. I gave away my restaurant, the only thing I lived for last year, because i didn’t know how to guide or love myself.
This weekend I followed the course ‘From knowing to living’ where i learned more about, what I call ‘leadership 2.0’, taking responsibility for your own actions. I learned that being a leader doesn’t mean you have to control yourself and my environment, it is more about letting go.
During the course I stood on a chair with my arms widespread saying: I am worth it! I could have never imagined that i would say that, really mean it and feel it. I feel selfworthy and proud. Not for the one I have to become, but for who I am right now. I was already good all the time, but I could never see it. Sometimes you have to fall hard again and again and again to reinvent yourself.
Another shot, another try, because it is always the right moment to start over again and speak your dream out loud! My heart is really in Rotterdam and I go back stronger and with more confidence than ever before. I came from far but i survived. Never giving up, without even trying to stand up with pride & love.
I met so many inspiring people this weekend. Wow, we shared our dreams and fears. All people with a glorious heart with fanastic ideas who make the world a better place for all of us. More nature, more smiling people, more real emotions and more love. When fear makes place for love, the world can be so colourful and happy.
Working together is one of my biggest challenges. I always wanted to do everything alone, so that i could keep control and nobody could hurt me, but this weekend I discovered that it can be fun to work together and you can do so much more. The lesson I learned: stop searching, start acting and be. Somebody has to start a movement and we are all our own leaders. We are all one and we are all love.
Being idealistic is fun! If you want to discover what your dreams are, check out: www.sunryse.nl
And if anybody knows a inspiring place to live in Rotterdam, let me know. Still no phone, but I am working on it. I have email and a tablet and glad that there are so many wifi spots:)
I was a caterpillar, who is actually a butterfly. Love is powerful, love is beyond all limits…
